Started trying to make drawer pulls copying an original.
Here is the original part. Another angle. Using pipe cleaners to measure the shape I get finished size of 9 inches. Estimating the length after drawing I started with 7 inches of 3/8ths. I tapered both ends. Here is where I think there has to be a better way. I formed the metal into a chain link, bent the ends to form the "ears", and then put in the twist. It seems when I put the twist in last, I get it off center. If I twist before forming the chain link, I tend to flatten the twist. How would you do it????? |
