We've got about a month and a half before the next issue comes out. If anyone has something to share in the newsletter, please keep that in mind. Remember, it doesn't have to be full on articles. Even short reviews, tips, thoughts and questions. I know that we have this forum for asking questions and sharing among the ABBA community, but the newsletter is sent out to a lot of other guilds, possibly expanding who might be able to answer questions as well as sharing our knowledge with a broader audience.

I wrote an article about the 2014 ABANA conference; it just needs some clean-up and editing. I added some pictures to the article and even though I reduced the file size, the whole article is about 23mg and is probably too big to email as my ISP limit is a 15mg file. When I finish, should I send you a disk with the article? I'm sure you know more about reducing the pictures to better fit the newsletter. Some of the pictures looked quite dark when I printed them. Do you know how to lighten them up for better printing? I'm very much a novice with my digital camera so I just pasted them into the article and they are quite large.

If you want me to send the article to you, send me your address and I'll get it to you.

Try using yousendit. it looks like they have changed the name. It's been a while since I used their website so I don't know what else may have changed. I can edit the images and format the text. Just send me the copy and send the highest resolution photos that you have. Don't scale them down or the print quality will be poor.

I've never used yousendit, I've only used my ISP's email service. I'll do some research and if worse comes to worse, I'll put everything on a disk and bring it to the next meeting.

Linda, I cannot access the images for your article. I cannot open .docx files (at least not in a way that displays the images). It would be best in the future to just give me the .jpgs and not place them in the word file. Is there any other way that you can email/upload any of the pictures?

I've been trying to pull the pictures out of the article--the article was done in Word by the way, but when I dragged them to another file to see if I could send you the pics, they were TIFF files. I'm going to see if I can pull them from iPhoto directly, but I need to try to remember which of the hundreds of pics I used. I still may not be able to email them to you though because of the size.

TIFF files are fine if you are able to send them.

Added 4 minutes later:

Just saw that you sent some pictures. Thank you.
