I know that technically, the fifth Saturday of October is Halloween.
So lets plan the 4th Saturday as a Hammer In at Hard Labor Creek State Park. Information about Hard Labor Creek It is in Social Circle near Madison. They have restored the Blacksmith Shop created by the CCC in the 30's. It is a one man shop and is centrally located across from the campground intersection. Looks like an opportunity to demonstrate as well as bring items. I have spoken with Dusty Fuller and at present 19 of the cabins are available. Dusty was at Madison and was impressed with our Green Coal setup. He would love for us to have a meeting at the park anytime. |

Why not have it on the 3rd Saturday and combine it with a meeting?

With Jerre's suggestion we will make this the regular meeting.
We have gotten several things going on this. Plan Friday evening, Saturday, and if you want Sunday. I will have more information about the camping closer to time. I have pictures to post about the CCC Blacksmith shop. I have asked the Park Ranger what he has in the shop. If an item is missing, Maybe someone has a "usable" item to donate. |

You might find out if the Park Ranger is the one to know what might be missing. Also before I donated an item I would like to know what the PROBABILITY of the item being there for any length of time. If I got a satisfactory answer to that question it would make a difference to me. I hope this works out as a regular meeting,
