I just read today about the passing of Philip Simmons, master blacksmith, at the age of 97. I tried to visit his shop once on a visit to Charleston a few years ago, but the shop was closed by the time I found it. I was able to see a lot of his work around Charleston, but I really regret not planned better so I could meet the man. You can check the ABANA website for more information about the man and his work.
