this is for you enterprising folks:

Check out decaturartsalliance.org. They have a call for artists to design, build and install three benches and three bike racks. I took a closer look and decided that's too much work for me, i.e. producing one item every two weeks on average. Also, there is no hint of a budget, so there is some shooting in the dark as to complexity and labor and material cost. I had inquired about their specifying height and depth of the bench, but they gave no real answer, except affirming that the bench needs not have a back. My point was ergonomic design needing a comfortable lean-back.
So, check this out and get your artistic juices flowing and muscles pumping.
