Put the twist in before bending either tabs or handle. Think production. " If you want to learn how to make something, take an order for 200. By the time you make 20, you will figure out a better way".Mark centerline before drawing out, so you can drawout equally. Jig the bends.

Started trying to make drawer pulls copying an original.

Here is the original part.

Another angle.

Using pipe cleaners to measure the shape I get finished size of 9 inches.
Estimating the length after drawing I started with 7 inches of 3/8ths.
I tapered both ends.

Here is where I think there has to be a better way.

I formed the metal into a chain link, bent the ends to form the "ears", and then put in the twist.

It seems when I put the twist in last, I get it off center.

If I twist before forming the chain link, I tend to flatten the twist.

How would you do it?????
