Ocmulgee Blacksmith Guild

The Ocmulgee Blacksmith Guild seeks to promote the work and trade of blacksmithing, both traditional and modern. Members are drawn from professional and part time blacksmiths, as well as others, who are interested in the craft. All members are welcome participants at our meetings and at our practical workshops which are held at members forges. The guild was formed in 1992 to provide blacksmiths, in central and south Georgia a place to meet. Monthly meetings are conducted on the first Saturday of each month at a predetermined location. This organization is committed to promoting blacksmithing as a high quality and creative craft, which has a growing place in modern society. The guild provides opportunities for teaching and learning about specific areas of blacksmithing and promotes an exchange of creative ideas.

The Ocmulgee Blacksmith Guild is an affiliate of ABANA, the Artist Blacksmiths Association of North America
